పిళ్లా లక్ష్మి రెడ్డి (ఐదో తరం)

      

         పిళ్లా లక్ష్మిరెడ్డి తో ఐదో తరం ప్రారంభమైంది. వీరు పిళ్లారామిరెడ్డి, పిళ్లా చిన్నక్క దంపతులకు  1.7.1918 లో  సింహాద్రిపురం మండలంలోని ముసల్ రెడ్డి పల్లెలో జన్మించారు. సింహాద్రిపురం పులివెందులకు 25 కి.మీ.దూరంలో ఉంది.

         కోరగుంట పల్లె (కోవరంగుట్ట)లో వీరి విద్యా భ్యాసం పూర్తైంది.తరువాత బళ్లారిలో విద్వాన్ కోర్సు 1965లో పూర్తిచేశారు.

       పిళ్లా లక్ష్మిరెడ్డి  సింహాద్రిపురం లోని ముసల్ రెడ్డిపల్లెలో వున్న కొమ్మా కొండమ్మ, కొమ్మా సుబ్బారెడ్డి దంపతుల 

కుమార్తె కొమ్మా శివలక్ష్మీదేవిని వివాహం చేసుకున్నారు. వారికొక  కుమారుడు 

పిళ్లా దశరథరామిరెడ్డి జన్మించిన కొంతకాలానికే ఆ తల్లి అనారోగ్యం తో 1940లో మరణించింది. ఆమె ఫోటో లభించడంలేదు.

            కొంతకాలానికి ఆయన రెండో పెళ్ళి చేసుకున్నారు. అదేవూర్లోవున్న కొమ్మా సోమిరెడ్డి, కొమ్మా అలివేలమ్మ దంపతుల 

కుమార్తె కొమ్మా రామలక్ష్మిని వివాహం చేసుకున్నారు. 

వీరికి నలుగురు సంతానం కలిగారు. కొమ్మారామలక్ష్మి ధనుర్వాతం తో1971లో మరణించారు.వీరి ఫోటో కూడా లభించడంలేదు.

      వీరి మొదటి సంతానం చిరంజీవి విజయలక్ష్మి తన 15వ ఏట అర్ధాంతంరంగా తనువు చాలించారు. రెండో కుమార్తె పిళ్లా ఇందిరాదేవి 18.09.1952లో జన్మించింది. తరువాత ఆరేళ్ళకు జన్మించిన ఒక కుమారుడు పిళ్లా రవీంద్రనాథరెడ్డి 29-06-1958న జన్మించారు. ఇతనిని రవి అని ఆప్యాయంగా అందరూ పిలిచేవారు. మళ్లీ ఆరేళ్ళ తరువాత మరో కుమారుడు పిళ్లా కుమార స్వామిరెడ్డి  8.7.1964లో జన్మించారు. 

అక్క విజయలక్ష్మి జ్ఞాపకార్ధం కుమారస్వామి రెడ్డికి పిళ్లా విజయకుమారస్వామిరెడ్డిగా నామకరణం చేశారు. ఇతనిని బాబు అనే ముద్దు పేరుతో పిలిచేవారు.

       ప్రథమ తనయుడు పిళ్లా దశరథరామి  రెడ్డికి కడప నబీకోటలో నివసిస్తున్న సింహాద్రిపురం మండలంలోని కసనూరు గ్రామ వాస్తవ్యులు తుంగా నారాయణరెడ్డి, తుంగా మల్లమ్మల కుమార్తె తుంగా నిర్మలాదేవినిచ్చి వివాహం చేశారు. 

వారికి ఇద్దరు కుమారులు, ఇద్దరు కుమార్తెలు జన్మించారు.

         తన కుమార్తె ఇందిరాదేవికి కమలాపురం లోని నల్లసింగాయగారిపల్లె గ్రామ వాస్తవ్యులు అంకిరెడ్డిగారి పిచ్చిరెడ్డి, కొండమ్మల కుమారుడు అంకిరెడ్డిగారి కొండారెడ్డినిచ్చి వివాహం చేశారు. 

పెళ్ళిచేయడానికి ఇంటి ప్రక్కన వున్న ఖాళీ జాగాను అమ్మేశారు. వారికి ఒక కుమారుడు, ఒక కుమార్తె జన్మించారు.

          

         ఆయన ఎంతోమందిని ఉన్నత విద్యావంతులుగా తీర్చిదిద్దారు. తన బంధువుల పిల్లలనుముఖ్యంగా భైరవకొండా రెడ్డి, సుబ్బారెడ్డి తదితరులను తన దగ్గరే చదివించారు. భైరవ కొండారెడ్డి ప్రస్తుతం పైడిపాళెంలో ఉన్నారు. సుబ్బారెడ్డి విశాఖ పట్టణంలో ఉన్నారు. 

             విద్వాన్ పూర్తి చేశాక ఉపాధ్యాయులు గా కోరగుంట పల్లెలో జిల్లా పరిషత్ ఉన్నత పాఠశాల లో నియమితు లయ్యారు. అక్కడి నుండి బదిలీపై రాయచోటి కెళ్లి తెలుగు పండితులుగా పనిచేశారు. అక్కడినుండి బదిలీపై రాజంపేటలో వున్న ప్రభుత్వ బాలికల ఉన్నత పాఠశాలలో తెలుగు పండితులుగా పదవీ విరమణ చేసేవరకు పనిచేశారు.

వెనుక, ప్రభుత్వ జూనియర్ కళాశాల వెనుక మధ్య వున్న ప్రాంతంలో యాభై సెంట్లు స్థలంలో ఒక ఇల్లు నిర్మించుకుని నివాసముండేవారు.

        ‌పదవీ విరమణ చేసిన తరువాత కొంతకాలం రాజంపేట లో కూతురు దగ్గర, మరికొంత కాలం కడపలో పెద్దకుమారుని దగ్గర వుండి కాలాన్ని గడుపుతూ వుండేవారు.  

         1974 మార్చి నెలలో ఆకస్మికంగా వీపులో నొప్పి ప్రారంభమైంది. ఈఎస్ఐ ఆసుపత్రిలో తన శిష్యుడే డాక్టరుగా పనిచేస్తుండేవాడు. ఆయన చూసి బి.పి. వుందని చెప్పినాడు. ఉప్పు తగ్గించాలని చెప్పినాడు. తనకెప్పుడూ బి. పి. లక్షణాలు లేవని, అదెలా వచ్చిందని ఆశ్చర్యపడ్డాడు. కొన్ని రోజులకే గుండెలో నొప్పని కడపలో వున్న ప్రభుత్వ ఆసుపత్రి లో చేరినాడు.

అప్పట్లో అది సెవన్ రోడ్స్ దగ్గర క్రిస్టియన్ వీధి దగ్గరలో వుండేది. ఇప్పుడది రిమ్స్ గా మార్చి దూరంగా మార్చినారు. అక్కడ వారం రోజులు పాటు చికిత్స చేసి అంతా నార్మల్ గా వుందని ఇంక ఆసుపత్రినుండి వెళ్ళిపోవచ్చని చెప్పినారు. బంధువులు వచ్చి చూసి వెళ్ళిపోయారు. ఆయనకు తోడుగా బాబు(ఈ పుస్తక రచయిత) ఆసుపత్రిలోనే వున్నాడు. బాబు అప్పుడు పదవతరగతి చదువుతుండే వాడు కడపలో చిన్న మున్సిపల్ హైస్కూల్ లో, పెద్దన్న దగ్గరే వుంటూ.

          మార్చి 29 సాయంత్రం 4గం||ల ప్రాంతంలో ఛాతీలో నొప్పి ప్రారంభమైంది. నర్సులు వచ్చి చూసినారు. ఆక్సిజన్ సిలిండర్లు తెచ్చినారు. ఆయన కూర్చుని వున్నాడు. దభాలున వెనక్కుపడినాడు. ఈలోపల డాక్టరును పిలుచుకు వచ్చాడు బాబు. డాక్టరు ఆయన ఛాతీపై బలంగా రుద్దాడు. ఆల్‌మోస్ట్ ఆల్ ఎక్స్ పైర్డ్ అని అంటున్నాడు. మీ పెద్దవాళ్ళను పిలుచుకురాపో‌ అని బాబుకు డాక్టరు చెప్పినాడు.

     అలా పిళ్లా లక్ష్మిరెడ్డి తను జీవించి వుండగానే  పెద్ద కుమారునికి, కూతురు కు

మంచి సంబంధం చూసి  వివాహం జరిపించారు.  

జీవితాన్ని హుందాగా సాగించి,  ఎవరినీ నొప్పించకుండా ఎవరికీ శ్రమలేకుండా ఆర్థికంగా ఎలాంటి సమస్యలు లేకుండా 29.3.1979లో తనువు చాలించారు.61 సంవత్సరాలు జీవించారు.

The Fifth Generation Begins with Pilla Lakshmireddy

Pilla Lakshmireddy was born on July 1, 1918, in Musal Reddy Palle, located in Simhadripuram Mandal, approximately 25 km from Pulivendula. He was the son of Pilla Ramireddy and Pilla Chinnakka.

He completed his early education in Koragunta village (also known as Kovarangutta) and later pursued the Vidwan course, which he completed in 1965 in Bellary.

Lakshmireddy married Komma Sivalakshmidevi, the daughter of Komma Kondamma and Komma Subbareddy, who also belonged to Musal Reddy Palle. The couple had one son — Pilla Dasharatha Ramireddy. Tragically, Sivalakshmidevi passed away in 1940 due to illness, not long after the birth of their son. Unfortunately, no photograph of her has been preserved.

After some time, Lakshmireddy remarried. His second wife was Komma Ramalakshmi, the daughter of Komma Somireddy and Komma Alivelamma, also from the same village. They had four children together. Ramalakshmi passed away in 1971 due to rheumatoid arthritis, and sadly, her photograph has also not been preserved.

Their first child, Chiranjeevi Vijayalakshmi, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15. Their second daughter, Pilla Indiradevi, was born on September 18, 1952. Six years later, a son, Pilla Ravindranath Reddy, was born on June 29, 1958. He was affectionately called Ravi by all. Another six years later, another son, Pilla Kumaraswamy Reddy, was born on July 8, 1964. In memory of his elder sister Vijayalakshmi, he was named Pilla Vijayakumaraswamy Reddy, and lovingly called Babu.

The eldest son, Pilla Dasharatha Ramireddy, married Tunga Nirmaladevi, daughter of Tunga Narayanareddy and Tunga Mallamma of Kasanur village, Simhadripuram Mandal, who were residing in Nabikota, Kadapa. They had two sons and two daughters.

Lakshmireddy's daughter, Indiradevi, was married to Ankireddygari Kondareddy, the son of Ankireddygari Picchireddy and Kondamma from Nallasingayagaripalle, a village near Kamalapuram. To arrange this marriage, a vacant plot adjacent to the house was sold. The couple had one son and one daughter.

Lakshmireddy played a significant role in promoting education. He mentored and supported the academic journeys of many young relatives, including Bhairavakonda Reddy and Subbareddy. Bhairavakonda Reddy now resides in Paidipalem, while Subbareddy lives in Visakhapatnam.

After completing his Vidwan course, Lakshmireddy worked as a Telugu Pandit (language teacher) at the Zilla Parishad High School in Koragunta. He was later transferred to Rayachoti, and finally to the Government Girls' High School in Rajampet, where he served until retirement.

He built a house on a 50-cent plot in Saraswatipuram, located behind the Government Junior College and Government Primary School, near the Agraharam area in Rajampet. He resided there with his family.

After retirement, he spent some time in Rajampet with his daughter and later in Kadapa with his eldest son. In March 1974, he suddenly experienced back pain. One of his former students, now a doctor at the ESI Hospital, examined him and diagnosed him with high blood pressure, advising a reduction in salt intake. Surprised, Lakshmireddy remarked that he had never experienced such symptoms before.

Shortly after, he suffered chest pain and was admitted to the Government Hospital in Kadapa, which at the time was located near Christian Street, Seven Roads (now shifted to RIMS). After a week of treatment, the doctors declared his condition stable and discharged him.

During his hospital stay, Babu (the author of this book and his youngest son), who was studying 10th standard at Municipal High School, Kadapa, stayed with him and took care of him, as other relatives came and went.

On the evening of March 29, 1979, around 4:00 PM, he again experienced chest pain. Nurses responded immediately, brought oxygen cylinders, and attended to him. While sitting up, he suddenly collapsed backward. Babu rushed to bring the doctor. The doctor tried to resuscitate him but eventually said, “Almost all expired.” He advised Babu to call the elder family members.

Thus, Pilla Lakshmireddy, having already arranged good marriages for his eldest son and daughter during his lifetime, passed away peacefully, without causing pain or burden to anyone, and without facing any financial hardship. He lived a dignified life and died at the age of 61, on March 29, 1979.
